Einstein Quote
“TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW YORK TIMES:
“A letter written by Albert Einstein in 1948, less than 24 hours after news filtered through about the Deir Yassin massacre in Jerusalem in April 1948. Around 120 settler terrorists from Menachem Begin’s Irgun and the Stern militia (headed by another terrorist who went on to become prime minister of Israel, Yitzhak Shamir), entered the Palestinian village and slaughtered nearly 250 men, women and children. Some died from gunshots, others from hand grenades thrown into their homes. Others living in the peaceful village were killed after being taken on a grotesque parade through West Jerusalem.
In 1948 Albert Einstein, Hannah Arendt and Sidney Hook amongst them, had no compunction in calling Menachem Begin’s party, recently formed out of the membership and followers of the former Irgun Zvai Leumi, both terrorist and fascist.
Among the most disturbing political phenomena of our times is the emergence in the newly created state of Israel of the “Freedom Party” (Tnuat Haherut), a political party closely akin in its organization, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties. It was formed out of the membership and following of the former Irgun Zvai Leumi, a terrorist, right-wing, chauvinist organization.
“The current visit of Menachem Begin, leader of this party, to the United States is obviously calculated to give the impression of American support for his party in the coming Israeli elections, and to cement political ties with conservative Zionist elements in the United States
We have no doubt that if he were alive today, Einstein would be at the forefront of the demonstrations in support of the Palestinians in Gaza, hand in hand with the brave young Jews of If Not Now, and he would be very proud of them.
Back in 1948 these signatories were “urging all concerned not to support this latest manifestation of fascism”.
Western leaders seem to have learned nothing and understood nothing about fascism and the Holocaust. “Never again” has morphed into an injunction to turn a blind eye to the atrocities and genocide we are now witnessing.

Jordanian Queen Rania Slams Western Hypocrisy:
If Russia Sanctioned, Why Not Israel For Gaza?’

via Espiritu Chicano
🌿🌺🌿

For most, if not all, of my life, especially my adult life, I have been an ardent unabashed supporter of Israel.

My allegiance to Israel was based on my religious beliefs.

I was raised in an Evangelical Christian home and later joined Christian ministry myself as a Bible teacher and Church Pastor.

Very early in my Christian training I learned that the often repeated Christian refrain, “pray for Israel,” meant more than just “praying” for Israel. It is a wishing for the fulfillment of the Jewish people’s belief in the return of their Messiah because the Christian Church believes that that Messiah is the same Jesus it awaits.

I won’t bore you with a long essay on the varied intricacies of Christian doctrine and how Israel is so ingrained in Evangelical Christianity, and the US as a nation. But, suffice it to say that unwavering support for “God’s chosen people”, Israel, is highly valued as a Christian duty and requisite.

The conflict in Israel and Gaza that exploded on the world a little over six months ago has truly unnerved me and has caused some introspection, as I’m sure it has for many others. I have not been myself in these last few months.

My mind and my heart have felt burdened and heavy. My spirit has been in unrest and I feel a sadness. I was lied to. And after having believed it myself, I then helped spread the lie.

Israel does not have a God given mandate to “own” the land of Palestine. It is a lie. And like so many other lies taught through religious indoctrination, uncovering it can be painful.

It has shaken me.

As I continue in my journey of decolonization, I can clearly see that so much of my world view was shaped by Christian indoctrination and religion is a tool for colonization and ethnocide.

Life-long Trained ignorant IDF cult inductees ventilate their pressurized internal rage and guilt onto Palestinian Citizens.

Why ISRAELi Jewish inductees can’t ‘break silence’ to the IDF

When Israeli soldiers admit their past abuses of Palestinians, as they did again this week, the occupation’s defenders often ask: Why didn’t you report this to the army at the time?

“What specific laws are violated by Israel’s actions against children:
.
Israel’s actions against Palestinian children in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict have been criticized for violating several international laws and conventions:
.
UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC): This convention, which Israel is a party to, mandates the protection of children from all forms of physical or mental violence, injury, abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The CRC emphasizes the right to education, healthcare, and protection from violence, all of which are reportedly violated in the treatment of Palestinian children by Israeli forces

.
Fourth Geneva Convention: This international treaty outlines the protection of civilians, including children, during times of war. It mandates that children must be provided with care and aid, and that their rights to education, cultural environment, and religious practices must be respected. The convention also prohibits the use of children as human shields and mandates the protection of children in occupied territories
.
Additional Protocols to the Geneva Conventions: These protocols further emphasize the protection of children during armed conflicts, stating that children should be the object of special respect and protected against any form of indecent assault
.
UN Security Council Resolutions on Children and Armed Conflict: These resolutions identify grave violations against children in armed conflicts, such as killing or maiming, attacks on schools and hospitals, and denial of humanitarian access. Israel’s military actions in Gaza have been reported to involve such violations
.
Principle of Non-discrimination: International law, including the CRC, prohibits discrimination against children based on nationality or ethnicity. The application of different legal systems to Israeli and Palestinian children, with Palestinian children being subjected to military courts, is seen as a violation of this principle

.

These violations highlight significant concerns about the treatment of Palestinian children under international humanitarian and human rights law.

From Naomi Wolf, Ph. D:

https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=8099974343367500&set=a.156404001057947

“Okay, so I was challenged below: “Read the Bible! God gave the land of Israel to the Jewish people.”

So….I may get crucified for this but I have started to say it — most recently (terrified, trembling) to warm welcome in a synagogue in LA:

Actually if you read Genesis Exodus and Deuteronomy in Hebrew — as I do — you see that God did not “give” Israel to the Jews/Israelites. We as Jews are raised with the creed that “God gave us the land of Israel” in Genesis — and that ethnically ‘we are the chosen people.” But actually — and I could not believe my eyes when I saw this, I checked my reading with major scholars and they confirmed it — actually God’s “covenant” in Genesis, Exodus and Deuteronomy with the Jewish people is NOT ABOUT AN ETHNICITY AND NOT ABOUT A CONTRACT. IT IS ABOUT A WAY OF BEHAVING.

Wowza a welcome surprise from Naomi Wolf : “Again and again in the “covenant” language He never says: “I will give you, ethnic Israelites, the land of Israel.” Rather He says something far more radical – far more subversive — far more Godlike in my view.

He says: IF you visit those imprisoned…act mercifully to the widow and the orphan…welcome the stranger in your midst…tend the sick…do justice and love mercy ….and perform various other tasks…THEN YOU WILL BE MY PEOPLE AND THIS LAND WILL BE YOUR LAND.

So “my people” is not ethnic — it is transactional. We are God’s people not by birth but by a way of behaving, that is ethical, kind and just. And we STOP being “God’s people” when we are not ethical, kind and just. And ANYONE who is ethical, kind and just is, according to God in Genesis, “God’s people.”

And the “contract” to “give” us Israel is conditional — we can live in God’s land IF we are “God’s people” in this way — just, merciful, compassionate. AND — it never ever says, it is ONLY your land. Even when passages spell out geographical “boundaries” as if God does such a thing, it never says this is exclusively your land. It never says I will give this land JUST to you.

Remember these were homeless nomads who had left slavery in Egypt and were wandering around in the desert; at most these passages say, settle here, but they do not say, settle here exclusively. Indeed again and again it talks about welcoming “zarim” — translated as “strangers” but can also be translated as “people/tribes who are not you” — in your midst. Blew my mind, hope it blows yours.”

Mutual Understanding leads to peace.

“Orwellian dystopia” :: is a political system where the government controls every aspect of people’s lives.

“Jihad” :: literally means striving, or doing one’s utmost. Within Islam, there are two basic theological understandings of the word: The “Greater Jihad” is the struggle against the lower self (ego) – the struggle to purify one’s heart, do good, avoid evil and make oneself a better person.

“Sharia” :: law is Islam’s legal system, and is derived from the Quran, the Sunnah, and the Hadith. The word “Sharia” means “the correct path” in Arabic. It is a code of living that Muslims follow to guide their daily lives in accordance with God’s will. Sharia includes practices such as fasting, prayers, and donations to the poor.

“Obscurantism” :: deliberately preventing the facts or full details of something from becoming known.

“Obfuscation” :: the action of making something obscure, unclear, or unintelligible…
“when confronted with honest questions, they resort to obfuscation”

Malcolm X’s final written words were about Zionism.

For Malcolm X, Zionism was inextricably linked to wider European colonialism.

In a little known passage written just before his assassination, he made it clear he saw Zionism as not just a threat to Palestine, but to the entire Third World.

https://mondoweiss.net/2024/03/malcolm-xs-final-written-words-were-about-zionism-here-is-what-he-said/

The final document written by Malcolm X and testifies to his burgeoning internationalist perspective and the threat of Zionism — not only to Palestine but to the entire Third World. It is reproduced here below:

Question: Africa seems to have captured most of your attention and eager concern. Why? And now that you have visited almost every part of it, where do you think Islam actually stands? And what, in your opinion, could be done to save it from both the brainlessness of many or rather most of those who are considered to be the champions of its cause and from the malicious, resourceful alliance of Zionism, atheism and religious fanaticism against Islam?

Answer: I regard Africa as my Fatherland. I am primarily interested in seeing it become completely free of outside political and economic influence that has dominated and exploited it. Africa, because of its strategic position, faces a real crisis. The colonial vultures have no intention of giving it up without a fight. Their chief weapon is still “divide and conquer.” In East Africa there is a strong anti-Asian feeling being nurished [sic] among the Africans. In West Africa there is a strong anti-Arab feeling. Where there are Arabs or Asians there is a strong anti-Muslim feeling. These hostilities are not initiated by the above-mentioned people who are involved. They have nothing to benefit from fighting among themselves at this point. Those who benefit most are the former colonial masters who have now supplanted the hated colonialism and imperialism with Zionism. The Zionists have outstripped all other interest-groups in the present struggle for our Mother Continent. They use such a benevolent, philanthropic approach that it is quite difficult for their victims to see through their schemes. Zionism is even more dangerous than communism because it is made more acceptable and is thus more destructively effective.

Since the Arab image is almost inseparable from the Image of Islam, the Arab World has a multiple responsibility that it must live up to. Since Islam is a religion of Brotherhood and Unity those who take the lead in expounding this religion are duty-bound to set the highest example of the Brotherhood and Unity. It is imperative that Cairo and Mecca (The Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs and the Muslim World League) have a religious “summit” conference and show a greater degree of concern and responsibility for the present plight of the Muslim World or other forces will rise up in this present generation of young forward-thinking Muslims and the “Power Centres” will be taken from the hands of those that they are now in and placed elsewhere. ALLAH CAN EASILY DO THIS.

Hours after typing this response, Malcolm X was assassinated at the Audobon Ballroom in New York.
He was 39 years old.

The Non-Semitic Origins of
Contemporary Jews

Palestinian and Jewish men are “so closely related as to be genetically indistinguishable”

The Semitic claim is essentially used to justify the dispossession, displacement, and impersonation of the Palestinians by Jewish settlers in one of the most complex forms of cultural identity theft.

The entire Zionist enterprise of Jewish genealogy by genetics and the brouhaha and cacophony it has created among geneticists, biologists, activists, and the media represent a global-scale political mobilization to rescue the Semitic claim from the specter of an increasingly deconstructed Jewish identity and a declining world Jewry amidst a growing condemnation of Zionist separatism and persecution of the Palestinians.

The conclusion can be summed up in the following points.

First, the Jewish Semitic claim made by the Zionists in the name of contemporary Jews remains unsubstantiated according to scholarly findings in history, archaeology, linguistics, and genetics.

Second, the Semitic claim is essentially used to justify the dispossession, displacement, and impersonation of the Palestinians by Jewish settlers in one of the most complex form of cultural identity theft.

Third, even if contemporary Jews were actually “Semitic,” this will not justify their dispossession of the Palestinians who have nothing to do with any past or present, actual or alleged persecution of Jews in Europe or anywhere else in the world.

Fourth, the Semitic claim did not solve the Jewish identity problem created by Zionism as the current genetic turn to a new racial science indicates.

Fifth, the growing disillusionment with the Jewish Semitic claim could nurture cynicism or guilt among current and future Jewish generations. Hebrew University Professor of History Yehoshua Porath was quoted: “You can’t build a cultural heritage on a lie. Because when young people discover the truth, they can become cynical” (Fletcher 1995, 16). In light of the failure to prove the Semitic claim, researchers of the origins of contemporary Jews are now forced to think outside the old geographic box of Palestine and the older ethnic buzzword of the Israelites.

*Note

In this article, the term “Zionism” refers to the international colonial movement designed to make Palestine an extraterritorial nation-state for world Jewry. The term “Zionists” refers to the Jewish and non-Jewish supporters of this movement. It should be noted that critical studies of Zionism have often been tabooed, polemicized and/or considered anti-Semitic in
mainstream U.S. media, politics, and culture.

For example, the unabridged version of the Webster’s Third New International Dictionary of the English Language (1986 Edition) has gone as far as defining anti-Semitism as any “opposition to Zionism” and/or “sympathy with opponents of the State of Israel.” This definition and the relentless harassment of Western conscience about Jewish persecution and the Holocaust seem to keep Israel and Zionism above and beyond any serious criticism within the Western world (see Finkelstein 2000 and Novick 1999). The Global Anti-Semitism Review Act of 2004 (signed by President Bush two weeks before the 2004 presidential elections), the [HR 3077] International Studies in Higher Education Act of 2003 (passed by the U.S. House and referred to the U.S. Senate), and the Middle East Forum Campus Watch (which blacklists American university professors who criticize Israel) are likely to make it even more difficult and more intimidating for scholars to criticize the State of Israel or Zionism without being labeled anti-Semitic.
